Help Please!!!

I have learned that at my rental house (which has a beautiful chmabers built in a cleaning service has used a very caustic cleaning powder and has damaged the finish ( original brushed rose/pink) Now I have to submit a claim to the company and while i would love for it to be repaired an expert says we can never get the original finsh reproduced. so long story longer i am hoping someone would have a general price list for replacing the stove so i can complete my claim. chances are we will leave it be just because it is so beautiful and works great!!

I suggest you get a quote from one of the vintage stove refurbishing operations,
The Old Appliance Club is in Tekonsha michigan and they have obscure pieces parts. Suffice to say getting that repaired or replaced is going to be a pretty penny. there's aso some place like antiquestoves.com or vintagestoves.com or.net I don;t know. Those places are more out west. HTH erin

I'm not sure exactly what finish your stove has when you say original "brushed rose/pink." As far as I know Chambers only sold built-ins in either the copper or stainless models, so I'm guessing your built-in has a copper finish. If it's not copper, then maybe you should post a photo.

If it is copper, then at least two board members (Phoebe9435 and Lori G.) have gotten theirs refinished, and I'm sure they could help point you in the right direction.

Maybe it is copper... i couldn't tell you what mauve is either....
As soon as our proerty menager sends me the pics i'll post them.

P.S. did i mention that situated between the stove and oven is a perfectly working (with all accessories and handbooks) nutone blender.
